You are summoned to attend the Full Council meeting on Wednesday 6th November 2024 at 7:30pm at Longden Village Hall.

  1. Chairman’s Welcome
    • Public Participation – 15 minutes maximum – To allow members of the public to speak at the Chairman’s discretion.
  2. Apologies – To receive apologies and reasons for absence
  3. Declarations of Interest – In accordance with the Council Code of Conduct members shall withdraw from any discussion or vote in which they hold a disclosable pecuniary interest and update their interests’ declaration as appropriate.
  4. Minutes –
    • To approve the draft minutes of the Full Council meeting held on 2nd October 2024

  1. Planning
    • Planning Applications – To consider the following planning applications and any validated since the publication of the agenda.
      • 24/04008/FUL:  Proposed Dwelling SW Of Reabrook Villa, Hookagate:  Erection of a detached dwelling with new vehicular access and parking and turning area : View online by clicking this link application 24-04008-ful
    • Planning Decisions – To note the following planning decisions and any validated since the publication of the agenda:
      • 24/03257/LBC:  Barn southeast of Oakshall Farm, Plealey:  Conversion of existing barn to 1no dwelling following demolition of existing lean-to extension. Decision:  Grant Permission
    • Place Plan Projects – To consider replacement and/or repositioning of the noticeboard in Longden to a more prominent position and discuss suitable locations.
    • Local Plan Review – To receive an update on the stage 2 hearings (Cllr P Carter)
    • Neighbourhood Plan – To receive an update on progress (Cllr P Arnold)
  2. Defibrillators –
    • Training feedback – (Cllr P Carter)
    • Review of expenditure – (Report attached at Appendix B)
  3. Play Areas:
    • Annscroft Play Area –
      • To note recent flooding and approve ditch clearance and any additional flood mitigation measures as required
    • Longden Play Area
    • To consider invitation to request signage to address dog fouling, (footpath stencils, lamppost and recreation area signage) or to undertake training to support enforcement action.
  4. Benches – To consider repair or replacement options for Hook-a-gate bench (To follow)
  5. Finance –
    • National pay agreement – To note that the NJC and NALC have reached agreement on revised pay scales, to be implemented as soon as possible and backdated to 1 April 2024.
    • Payments for approvalTo authorise expenditure (payments list to follow)
    • Bank Reconciliation & fund transfers (to follow)
    • Budget summary report – Receipts and payments to end October (Appendix C)
