Annscroft Play Area
A new climbing frame and outdoor gym equipment has now been installed at Annscroft Play Area, ready for the school summer holidays.

Longden is an English civil parish within the unitary authority of Shropshire
The Parish Council is responsible for the street lighting in the parish, two play areas, and a variety of street furniture, including defibrillators, benches, bus shelters, litter bins and noticeboards. The Council meets every first Wednesday in the month, except August. The meetings start at 7:30pm and are usually held in the Parish Hall in Longden. A meeting in August will only be called if there is urgent business to attend to. Members of the public are welcome to attend and speak in the public session held at the beginning of each meeting. Each year, a meeting of the electors of the Parish is arranged between 1 March - 1 June. The Parish Council Chairman will chair the meeting (if present) but it is not a meeting of the parish council so any elector may speak.

Annscroft Play Area Improvements
Longden Parish Council is planning to install new play and outdoor gym equipment at Annscroft play area. We would like to hear your thoughts on the designs submitted and they will be on display at Annscroft Church Vestry from 3 - 6pm on Wednesday 22nd April, followed by the Parish Meeting.

Wheel-friendly path at Annscroft Play Area
Update - the new path at Annscroft play area has been completed! It will make it much easier for people with pushchairs, bikes and wheelchairs to access the play equipment at the top of the field. The grassed area alongside has been reseeded and will soon recover.

20mph Longden School Zone – Update
Shropshire Council has started work on the traffic calming measures in Longden. They are still waiting for some key equipment so the scheme will not be completed during half-term but the disruptive road closures are being carried out whilst the roads are quieter.
