Longden is an English civil parish within the unitary authority of Shropshire
The Parish Council meets every first Wednesday in the month, except August. The meetings start at 7:30pm and are usually held in the Parish Hall in Longden. A meeting in August will only be called if there is urgent business to attend to. Members of the public are welcome to attend and speak in the public session held at the beginning of each meeting. Each year, a meeting of the electors of the Parish is arranged between 1 March - 1 June. The Parish Council Chairman will chair the meeting (if present) but it is not a meeting of the parish council so any elector may speak. Elections for all seats will be held in May 2025. The Council is keen to encourage membership from all sections of the community and information about the role can be obtained from the Clerk on request. Further information about the election process will be published on this site in Spring 2025.

New defibrillators installed
Two new defibrillators have recently been installed at Longden Common and in Annscroft. Training in CPR and emergency first aid is being arranged on 28th October and residents are warmly invited to sign up to attend.

Longden Neighbourhood Plan Survey – Deadline Extended!
Longden Neighbourhood Plan Survey is now LIVE. It should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. The deadline for responses has now been extended to the end of August, so if you haven't yet given your views, please click on the link.

Defibrillator Training – 24th June 2024
Following the installation of a new defibrillator outside the children's nursery at Hook-a-Gate, a training session has been arranged to help local residents learn how to use it in an emergency. The training will take place at the New Inn PH at 7pm on 24th June.
