Osteoarthritis Workshop – Longden Village Hall – 19th November
A free workshop will be held at Longden Village Hall from 10am - 12:30pm to support people living with osteoarthritis and those who care for them.
The Parish Council meets every first Wednesday in the month, except August. The meetings start at 7:30pm and are usually held in the Parish Hall in Longden. A meeting in August will only be called if there is urgent business to attend to. Members of the public are welcome to attend and speak in the public session held at the beginning of each meeting. Each year, a meeting of the electors of the Parish is arranged between 1 March - 1 June. The Parish Council Chairman will chair the meeting (if present) but it is not a meeting of the parish council so any elector may speak.

Update - the new path at Annscroft play area has been completed! It will make it much easier for people with pushchairs, bikes and wheelchairs to access the play equipment at the top of the field. The grassed area alongside has been reseeded and will soon recover.
Shropshire Council has started work on the traffic calming measures in Longden. They are still waiting for some key equipment so the scheme will not be completed during half-term but the disruptive road closures are being carried out whilst the roads are quieter.
Update and Call for Sites The Neighbourhood Plan steering group has agreed a set of criteria to assess sites for housing. If you believe you have land suitable for development, in line with those criteria, please contact the Parish Clerk by 29th August 2025.
