Information about how to report problems in the local area

If you spot something in the parish that is damaged or needs attention we would be very grateful if you would report it so that it can be repaired as soon as possible.  Some things are the responsibility of the parish council whilst others are dealt with by Shropshire Council.

Longden Parish Council is responsible for the parish lighting in Longden, Longden Common, Annscroft and Hook-a-gate, several seats, noticeboards and three bus shelters in addition to the play areas at Longden and Annscroft.  If you spot any problems with these facilities please inform the Parish Clerk on clerk@longdenparishcouncil.org.uk. Please give as much information as you can about the nature of the problem and the precise location.

The Parish Council is encouraging residents to use What3Words to identify locations of problems, particularly in rural areas where there may be few landmarks.  The free app can be downloaded here and can identify a location precisely using a smart phone.

Problems with highways, such as potholes, damaged street signs etc are dealt with by Shropshire Council and can be reported by following this link to My Shropshire .  Once you have registered you can report a variety of issues and receive progress reports.
