You are summoned to attend the Full Parish Council meeting on Wednesday 5th November 2025 from 7:30pm at Longden Village Hall.

  1. Apologies – To receive apologies and reasons for absence
  2. Declarations of Interest – To receive declarations of interest in matters under consideration on this agenda in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 s32 and The Relevant Authorities (Disclosable Pecuniary Interests) Regulations 2012.
  3. Minutes – To approve the draft minutes of the Full Council meeting held on 6th October 2025 (Appendix A, attached)

  2. Memorandum of Understanding – To approve the informal agreement developed by Shropshire Council and authorise the Clerk to attend any meetings with Shropshire Council (Appendix D)
  3. Streetlight Electrical Contract – To note that Longden will join Shropshire Council’s Joint Energy Scheme on 1st December 2025 and will receive quarterly invoices thereafter
  4. Play Areas
    • Annscroft Path – To note completion of path and approve bulb planting into banked arisings at top of play area
    • Play area inspections – See Clerk’s report
      • To approve use of electronic app for routine play inspections records
      • To note and consider Q2 mechanical inspection reports and approve weed removal from MUGA (Appendix E attached)
    • Tree surveys – To retrospectively approve appointment of Llanerch Arboriculture to carry out a tree safety survey at Annscroft PA at a cost of £400.
    • Repairs and further development proposals – To receive provisional proposals from Play Area Working Group on development of Annscroft play area (PC/CR)
  5. Environmental maintenance –
    • Replacement of open top bins –
      • To approve the purchase of 9 steel Derby E-Litter bins with fixings at a cost of £2,465.55 using CIL Neighbourhood Funds
      • To consider quotations from local contractors to replace 8 open top bins and one damaged dog waste bin with covered steel bins – costs to be met from current budget (Separate report to follow)
      • To approve repainting of handrail to steps in Longden village as an addition to bin replacement contract
    • Annscroft bank – To note response from Shropshire Council to request to cut back visibility splays and amenity grass and consider any action
    • Hook-a-gate village signs – To consider options for replacement (KR)
  6. Local Nature Recovery Strategy – DM to report on costs of Himalayan Balsam project
  7. Finance
