You are summoned to attend the Full Parish Council meeting on Wednesday 1^st July 2026 at 7:30pm at Longden Village Hall.

1. Attendance and apologies
2. Declarations of Interest – In accordance with the Council Code of Conduct members shall withdraw from any discussion or vote in which they hold a disclosable pecuniary interest and update their interests’ declaration as appropriate.

5. Planning
   •   Planning applications –
     • To consider any applications validated since the publication of the agenda

5.2       Planning Decisions – To note the following planning decisions and any others notified since the publication of the agenda:

5.2.1   25/04895/FUL (validated: 15/01/2026)
Address:  Proposed Holiday Accommodation At, Lyth Hill, Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Proposal:  Change of use of land for the stationing of 2No shepherds’ huts for holiday purposes
Decision:  Refuse

5.3       Shropshire Council Local Plan – To consider a response to the scoping consultation, closing 15^th July 2026 – Key points summary & questionnaire attached – Appendix B

5.4       Neighbourhood Plan – Verbal update

6. Asset transfers and devolution of services – To consider the completion of a non-binding Expression of Interest in taking responsibility for some street scene services currently provided by Shropshire Council. (EOI attached, Appendix C) – Financial report to follow if available
   • Grass cutting of amenity grass verges
   • Emptying of highway litter bins
7. Highways –
   • Longden School Zone – National grid connections programmed for completion by 1 July
   • Longden VAS -To be relocated following completion of Longden School zone
   • National Grid – Cable reinforcement scheme – Update from meeting to be held 29^th June at 12pm – Updated route maps circulated to members during the month
   • Hills Ford Rally – 19^th – 20^th September – To note any contact from rally organisers
8. Play Areas –
   • . Maintenance – to consider any new issues
   • Annscroft play area improvements –
     • To review allocation of £20,000 CIL Neighbourhood Fund for play & gym equipment (minute 112.1/25 on 3^rd December 2025) and consider replacing the funding with £20,000 from donation set aside for parish priorities, enabling the CIL NF to be reallocated.
     • To approve delegation of project supervision to Play Area Working Group and authorise them to agree completion and release of payment upon receipt of satisfactory post installation inspection report. Start date estimate 6^th July, no meeting in August.

9. Streetlight Columns –
   • To note the outcome of a streetlight condition survey (Appendix D) and consider replacement of 7No concrete streetlights which are beyond their design life (estimated cost £11,600)
   • To approve the reallocation of CIL neighbourhood funds to replace concrete columns
10. Community Grants Policy – To review the policy adopted 5^th June 2026 (Appendix E)
11. Finance
    • Payments for approval (list to follow)
    • To approve transfer of £22,000 to current account to cover costs of play area equipment upon completion.
    • Bank reconciliation (to follow)
    • Quarter 1 Budget Monitoring report (Appendix F)
