You are summoned to attend the Full Parish Council meeting on Wednesday 3^rd June 2026 at 7:30pm at Longden Village Hall.

1. Attendance and apologies
2. Declarations of Interest – In accordance with the Council Code of Conduct members shall withdraw from any discussion or vote in which they hold a disclosable pecuniary interest and update their interests’ declaration as appropriate.
3. Public Participation – 15 minutes maximum
4. Minutes –
   • Annual Council meeting held on 6^th May 2026 (Appendix A)
   • Extraordinary Council meeting held on 18^th May 2026 (Appendix B)
5. Planning
   • Planning applications –
     • To consider any applications validated since the publication of the agenda

8.2       Planning Decisions – To note the following planning decisions:

6. Sewer Flooding – Annscroft Layby – To consider a proposal that Severn Trent be asked to set out their plans to address the periodic flooding of Annscroft church layby. (Report by N Ingham to follow)
7. Local Nature Recovery – To receive a report from D Morgan on the establishment of a Shrewsbury & District Community Land Trust and the future management of Oaks Wood for the benefit of enhanced biodiversity
8. Streetlight Columns – To note the requirements for 6-yearly electrical testing of streetlighting connections and structural testing of steel columns and authorise the Clerk to make the necessary arrangements.
9. Highways –
   • Longden School Zone – Update if available
   • Longden VAS – Update if available
   • National Grid – Cable reinforcement scheme – To note closure of Plealey Road from 27th July to 25^th September
   • Hills Ford Rally – 19^th – 20^th September – To note any update
10. Play Areas
    • Play area maintenance – To consider replacement of worn rubber top to cradle swing at Longden play area or the whole swing seat
    • Weed control – To approve weed spraying at Longden play area
    • Play area inspections – To confirm a preferred commencement date for monthly play area inspections, (currently quarterly).
11. Website Accessibility Report – To review compliance of the website with WCAG2.2AA and identify any areas for improvement – (Appendix C)
12. Finance
    • Payments for approval (list to follow)
    • Bank reconciliation
    • Internal Audit Report – to consider the report and any recommendations (App D)
    • Annual Governance and Accountability Statement – (Appendix E)
      • Section 1 – Annual Governance Statement – To complete responses to the 10 assertions with respect to 2025-26
      • Section 2 – Annual Statement of Accounts – To review and approve the accounting statements for the year 2025-26
      • Exercise of Public Rights – To note the period for the exercise of public rights will commence on Thursday 11^th June and end on Wednesday 22^nd July 2026 (Councillors are requested to display the attached notice on or before 10^th June 26 – Appendix F)
