You are summoned to attend the Full Council meeting on Wednesday 2^nd April 2025, to follow the Annual Parish Meeting commencing at 6:30pm at Longden Village Hall. (The Council meeting will start no earlier than 7:30pm)

April Agenda

1. Chairman’s Welcome
   • Public Participation – 15 minutes maximum – To allow members of the public to speak at the Chairman’s discretion.
2. Apologies – To receive apologies and reasons for absence
3. Declarations of Interest – In accordance with the Council Code of Conduct members shall withdraw from any discussion or vote in which they hold a disclosable pecuniary interest and update their interests’ declaration as appropriate.
4. Minutes –
   • To approve the draft minutes of the Full Council meeting held on 5^th March 2025

5. Planning
   • Planning Applications – To consider the following planning applications and any validated since the publication of the agenda. (N.B. Any new applications will be posted on the parish council website prior to the meeting).

• Planning Decisions – To note the following planning decisions and any validated since the publication of the agenda:
  • 25/00829/CPL; Ashmount, Lyth Hill; Lawful Development Certificate for the proposed partial conversion of existing garage, installation of solar panels, heat pump and sunpipe with associated internal alterations; Decision: Certificate, Lawful
  • 25/00273/TPO: Land Across from Chapel House, Lyth Hill, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY3 0BT; Proposal:  Crown reduce by 50% 1no Sycamore protected by The Salop County Council (Lyth Hill) Tree Preservation Order 1975 (Ref: SA/15); Decision:  Refuse
• Neighbourhood Plan – To receive a summary of the liaison meeting with Shropshire Council and note that the next steering committee meeting will be held on Monday 7^th April 2025 at the Red Lion PH.

6. BT Phone Box Removal –
   • To consider a response to a proposal to remove or seal the telephone box in Longden village.
   • To consider whether to adopt the phone box or allow it to be sealed shut if the telephony is removed by BT
7. Village Hall Land Registration – To receive a report of the Village Hall working party and consider any recommendations arising from the Annual Parish Meeting.
8. Highways Safety – To consider consultation on 20mph school zone (if available)
9. Celebration of VE Day– 80^th Anniversary – To consider any grant applications or proposals from community groups to celebrate the anniversary
10. Play Areas:
    • Annscroft Play Area –
      • To approve a donation to top up pledges if required, to achieve the funding target.
      • To consider a request that the picnic bench be moved closer to play equipment
    • Longden Play Area –
11. Finance –
    • Payments for approval – To authorise expenditure (payments list to follow)
    • Bank Reconciliation & fund transfers (to follow)
    • Reserves – To approve a year-end report and recommendations on Earmarked Reserves (To follow)

13. Date of Next Meeting – Annual Meeting of the Parish Council – The first meeting of the newly elected Council will take place within 14 days of Councillors taking office, on either 7^th or 14^th
14. Exclusion of the Press and Public – It is recommended that pursuant to Schedule 12A, of the Local Government Act 1972 and pursuant to the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960, that the press and the public be excluded from the discussion of item 15 due to the likely disclosure of confidential information
15. Staff Matters – Review of staff hours for completion of Neighbourhood Plan administration
